Glitz-Bits n Pieces

I've had a few posts recently with the China Glaze Glitz collection. I thought I'd put them all on one post. : )

Tree Hugger w/ Grafitti Glitter

Sinful Colors Cool Gray with Glitz n' Pieces

Orly's Dysfunctional Famiy w/ Scattered and Tattered

Orly's Snowcone w/ Mosaic Madness

I don't have the rest of this collection yet. I'm not entirely sure I'll buy it either. Not for lack of liking the collection, but I don't see myself using the other colors.

China Glaze Tree Hugger w/ Grafitti Glitter

Grafitti Glitter on top of Tree Hugger. Topped with seche.

Pure Ice it's complicated

I finally found one of the new Pure Ice displays, and picked up some new colors : ) I have seen in the indie polish world several different polishes that are white creme or jelly based and packed with multi colored glitter. And each and every one of them seem to be on my wish lists. Since I don't have them yet, I decided to attempt to recreate the look. So, here I have Sally Hansen "Polar Bare" with Pure Ice's "It's Complicated".

For this look I did a base coat, 2 coats of polar bare, 1 coat of it's complicated, another coat of polar bare, another coat of it's complicated, and a final coat of polar bare. Topped with some seche.

Forgive my cuticles please :( With all the frequent weather changes and being bitterly cold the last few days my skin is SO dry.

Swatches from the weekend!

I got my computer fixed! Squeee! : ) I got some swatching done over the weekend, and here I'll share them : ) But first, my Valentine's Day present to myself. : )

OK, first swatch, Pure Ice "Private Show". This is from the new Pure Ice line of polishes. It's so glitter packed and sparkly!!! It has a dark might as well be black jellyish base with so many different colors of glitter I couldn't get them all with my camera, but I sure tried! So here's a pics (there's a lot of them). So here's 2 coats with a coat of Gelous on top. It definitely has a textured feel without it.

I also picked up some of Sinful Colors new spring line. So I have 2 coats of cotton candy. I topped it with Revlon's "Girly".

Sinful Colors "Sweet Tooth" 2 coats

And finally, from Zoya's Pixie Dust collection... London

Now if you've stayed with me this long into the post, I have a surprise for you! I want to have a small giveaway. For no reason at all other than I feel the need to lol SO, I have Sinful Colors "Hottie" and OPI Liquid Sand "Stay The Night". Enter the rafflecopter widget below, this will last through the end of February. I guess I forgot to add to the widget that for the blog following confirmation, I'm gonna need your name, lol.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

adventures in stamping

Generally speaking, I don't do that stamping thing. It never seems to work out right. Today was an adventurous sort of day, and I decided to try it out. So, 2 coats of Sinful Colors "Sweet Tooth", then a purple gradient-ish stamping of stars...

Swatches! OPI my vampire is buff, Zoya Pixie Dust Chyna, and CG's Glitz n Pieces

My computer is acting up for reasons unknown, haven't had it but maybe 4 months, so this post is to get what remaining swatch pictures I have onto the blog while the scans and tune ups run. Hopefully that will fix the problem(s), and I won't have to call the warranty department at Gateway and pitch a fit, lol. OK, here's the swatches!!!

OPI My Vampire is Buff. I am finding myself drawn to more nude shades lately, and I tell ya what, if I could bottle this up and use it as foundation, I might actually wear make up! lol 2 coats and some seche. I did get bored though, and thought I'd experiment and had a major fail (or at least I thought so) when I decided to add Revlon's Whimsical on top of this.

It looks ok in the pics, but under the florescent lights at work it took on this weird mint green tint, but I actually got a few compliments on it.

I have slowly but surely been picking up CG's glitz and pieces collection. Just a few of them. So here I put Glitz n' Pieces over Sinful Colors Cool Grey. Gotta say I loved it.

AND FINALLY, Zoya's Pixie Dust in Chyna! 2 coats.

I was worried I wouldn't like this whole textured polish thing, but I gotta say I am a full supporter of the Pixie Dust collection! I have 2 more that I plan on swatching Saturday (along with some other new colors I have). I have been wearing this for going on 3 days, which has to be some kind of record for me. I haven't tried it with topcoat yet. I like this SO much better than the liquid sand stuff from OPI. The hardest part for me was NOT adding the topcoat, lol.

Well there you have it. My picture heavy, wordy swatch post for the day. Now it's time to attempt sleep. I have a LONGGGG day ahead of me. My bestie is having reconstructive surgery on her knee, and I get to do the hospital "I'm her sister/emergency contact" thing for the majority of the day.

Have a great day! And if I don't post again before it's over, Have a great weekend too!!!!
